We all remember 2008 – distressed assets and zero capital forced new construction in the New York Metro area on a hiatus. 2013 stands in stark contrast, as new projects planned, under construction, and recently completed are transforming the city once again.

Our June 12 Program explores the multi-faceted market changes and new developments. Our diverse panel includes two of New York's most dynamic developers, a renowned market analyst and a global technology company which has chosen to lease significant space in Hudson Yards.

Moderator Peter Linneman, will use a Q&A approach to make this an insightful and thought provoking program. As a consultant, Dr. Linneman's clients include institutional investors, REITs, developers, and opportunistic private equity firms. Having chaired Wharton's Real Estate Department and directed the Samuel Zell and Robert Lurie Real Estate Center at Wharton, Dr. Linneman has been critical in driving the professionalization of real estate capital markets and the commercial real estate industry.

  • Peter Linneman, Principal, Linneman Associates, Emeritus Professor of Real Estate and former Director of the Zell-Lurie Real Estate Center, Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania and Author, Real Estate Finance and Investments: Risks and Opportunities - Third Edition
