Program: Disruption of the CBD / The Convergence of New Markets, Economies and the Quest for Talent

When:  Sep 29, 2016 from 05:45 PM to 08:15 PM (ET)
Associated with  New York City

Not since the 1970s when waves of suburbanization led to employers following their employees from the gritty city to green office campuses has there been any significant shift in the landscape of job locations in the New York region. Over the last 5 years there seems to be a change, led not by state incentive deals, but by demographics, life choices and a whole new types of entrepreneurship and a sense of cool not seen since the dot com era opened up “silicon alley”. This shift is creating emerging markets across our region far from the traditional corridors of mid-town / down-town and everything in between.

Where are these emerging markets?
How big are they?
What are the drivers behind this change?
Is it sustainable?
Who is locating in these markets?
What should one expect in these areas?

To answer these questions we have assembled a panel representing early adopters, brokers and city officials active in this space.
